What is HomeTab?

A Browser add-on connecting your browser with your mobile phone, to create a new exciting browsing experience, delivering smart dynamic content predictions based on the your browsing and real world interests.

Hometab's main features include:

Smart Suggestions - HomeTab notices when you’re visiting a new place, and shares insights about the must-see venues, top rated restaurants, local weather forecast and more. It even presents images and detailed directions- everything that will help a tourist to orientate. HomeTab will magically bring you the exact show times, nearby theaters, and ticket prices. It will even notify other friends about tonight’s plans over any social network.

Uninstall HomeTab:

Quick remove – Mozilla Firefox | Google Chrome | Internet Explorer

Windows xp:
1. Close all open web browsers.
2. Go to Windows Start menu > Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs.
3. From your programs list, click on HomeTab and click the Remove/Uninstall button:
4. Click Yes to confirm.
5. Click Yes to restart your system.

Windows 7:
1. Close all open web browsers.
2. Go to Windows Start menu > Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs.
3. From your programs list, click on HomeTab and click the Remove/Uninstall button:
4.Click Yes to confirm.
5.Click Yes to restart your system.

How to change your homepage settings:

FireFox:
1. Open the web site you want to set as your home page. If you want a blank home page, open a new tab.
2. Click the icon to the left of the web address, drag it to the Home button Home, and release.
3. Click Yes to set this as your home page.

Chrome:
1. Click the Chrome menu Menu.
2. Select Settings.

Homepage button is off by default. Select the "Show Home button" checkbox in the "Appearance" section to show it on the browser toolbar.
Set your homepage When the "Show Home button" checkbox is selected, a web address appears below it. If you want the Homepage button to open up a different webpage, click Change to enter a link.

Internet Explorer:
1. Open the Settings menu Settings, and then click Internet Options.
2. Under the General tab, enter the web address of your new home page, and then click Apply.

How to change your search provider settings:

FireFox:
Type "about:config" in the address bar.
Type "Keyword.url" in the search box. Right click the search result and then click Reset.
Type "browser.search.defaultengine" in the search box. Right click the search result and then click Reset.

Chrome:
Click the Chrome menu Menu.
In the Search section, open the drop down menu and choose the wanted search provider.

Internet Explorer:
Open the Settings menu Settings, and then click Manage Add-ons.
Under the Search Providers tab, choose your new search provider, and then click Set as default.
If the wanted search provider does not appear on the list you can use the “Find more search providers” link at the bottom of the window.
